Cookies
Cookies,
clearly explained.
Which cookies we use, what for and for how long — and how you stay in control.
01
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. We also use similar technology, such as your browser’s session storage. Some are needed to make the website work. All others — for statistics and marketing — are only used if you give your consent first.
02
Who is responsible
Expo Cars (Meensesteenweg 534, 8800 Roeselare, Belgium) is responsible for this website and for the cookies described here. Questions? Reach us at info@expo-cars.be or +32 474 41 28 42.

The cookies we use
Below is every cookie and similar storage we use, grouped by purpose. Necessary cookies need no consent. Statistics and marketing cookies are only set after you accept them — and Google Tag Manager is not even loaded before that.
Necessary
Keep the website working and remember your cookie choice. These do not track you and cannot be switched off.- expocars_consent6 months
Remembers your cookie choices.
Set by Expo Cars - carListing:*Until you close the tab
Remembers your brand filter and how many cars you had opened in the overview, so “back” works as expected (browser storage, not a cookie).

What data we collect
–Necessary: your cookie choice — which categories you accepted, and when.
–Statistics (only with your consent): pages viewed, time on site, clicks, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, the website you came from and your approximate location (city level). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
–Marketing (only with your consent, and only if an advertising tag is switched on): a random ID and the visits or actions that can be linked to an advert you saw or clicked.
–Forms: if you send us a message or request a test drive, we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message, the language you used and your IP address, which we keep to protect the form against abuse.
–Our hosting provider keeps technical server logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser) to keep the website secure and running.
Statistics and marketing data is processed by Google (and, if enabled, Meta), which may process it outside the EU, including in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or other approved safeguards. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months. How we handle form data is explained in our privacy policy.

Your choice
Optional cookies stay off until you switch them on, and refusing is as easy as accepting. We remember your choice for 6 months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. If you withdraw, we remove the cookies we can reach and stop loading the tag manager. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
